Patrick Pastore

Associate Director of Curriculum Development and School Support

Patrick is one of the team’s curriculum writers, drawing on his 18-year tenure at Uncommon Schools’ Rochester Prep Brooks Campus Middle School as both a teacher and leader. He served as the founding Reading teacher in 2006, and spent the following seven years writing and teaching Reading curriculum in grades 5, 6, and 8. During that time, his instruction from the corner of the classroom was recorded by the TLAC team and featured in their written publications and sessions, including “Pastore’s Perch,” of which he is the namesake. During a brief sabbatical from education, Patrick put his social prowess to the test by competing on Survivor 51, where his social game and challenge domination ultimately led to him being named the Sole Survivor and winner of the season.
