Two Session Remote Workshop
With books at the center of our literacy classes, we must consider how to shape students’ reading experiences to ensure that they are making meaning of the text and developing a lifelong love of reading. Please join us for two 90-minute remote sessions in which we study FASE Reading — a system for shared whole-class reading that’s designed to reinforce reading that is fluent, attentive, social, and expressive. We’ll consider how, in combination with Read Aloud and Accountable Independent Reading, FASE Reading enables all students to access rigorous texts deeply and joyfully, building both comprehension and a genuine love of reading.
These two remote sessions will include the study of exemplar video and artifacts, as well as post-session exercises to reinforce learning and implementation.
